Cadillac Convertible Tops and Convertible Top Parts

Fabrics:
Each Cadillac convertible top is made in original fabric or else, as described, in a substitute vinyl top or canvas top in the fabric of your choice. You can read full information describing convertible top fabrics via the Help link at the top of our Home page.

Installing Convertible Tops:
Most Cadillac convertibles had tops designed the classic "two part" way, with the main top and the rear window section as two separate parts integrated during the installation. Many installers have used our convertible top manual as a guide to installing their own tops, including first time installers of tops. There is no sewing. What is involved is stapling (or tacking) use of contact cement, and the use of pop rivets. At the bottom of this page is a link to the summary of our convertible top manual. This top installation summary will allow you to make a good choice about self installation of a new convertible top.

Top Packages:
In ninety percent of convertible top restoration the top, cables, pads and tacking strips are (at most) required. We have packages containing these items for the restorer.
