Convertible Top Motor Pump Rebuild/Repair Service.    The repair service is usually completed 4 to 5 weeks after we receive your motor pump Details... We can evaluate your existing convertible top motor pump and if its "core" is in good shape we can return it to "like new" condition. We service the whole motor section of the unit: recoiling, insulating and cleaning. We test the rewound unit to make sure it is in proper working order before returning to you. If you do want your motor rebuilt, simply click "Add to Cart" at the right. (You would pay for it just as though you were ordering a part.) We will then send you a prepaid UPS shipping label. Properly box it up (we recommend putting it in a plastic bag as they can leak) and drop it off at a UPS store or the UPS counter in any Staples store. If your motor cannot be repaired, you'll get a refund or you can put this purchase toward the price of a new motor. Owner Installation:
We have a step by step manual describing how to remove the old top and install the new one. The manual is clearly illustrated with our own installation pictures and accompanying step by step instructions. We believe that a patient do-it-yourselfer should be able to perform his or her installation. There is contact cement work, some tacking or stapling and the installation of pop rivets or sheet metal screws. There is no sewing.

Fabrics:
The original topping was a black British vinyl. Our Colonial vinyl is an American made version. We have posted a link to swatch closeups of colonial vinyl. We offer these colonial grain vinyl tops in white or black.

We are also offering this top in Haartz pinpoint vinyl, which is available in more colors. You can view the pinpoint vinyl fabrics via the links next to the product descriptions.

Windows:
Original dealer tops for 1977-80 were zippered. We can supply the top with a center window with or without a zipper (the 71-76 MGB roadster tops were made without zippered; the rear center window was fully sealed in.) Our tops are manufactured with three plastic windows, dimensioned exactly as original. We believe the unzippered center window tops are more durable but deprive an opportunity of rear ventilation with the top up (and the window lowered.)

Installation Manual:
We have a step by step illustrated manual describing how to remove the old top and install the new one. Included is detailed information that will allow any meticulous do-it-yourselfer to perform his or her installation. It is available only with a purchase of our top.

Tonneau Covers:
Replacement tonneau covers are offered too. Please see "Accessories" listing. Tonneau covers are made with boot vinyl. Please look at the fabric samples and specify color in checkout message box. Snaps are supplied for your installation.
