Convertible Top Motor Pump Rebuild/Repair Service.    The repair service is usually completed 4 to 5 weeks after we receive your motor pump Details... We can evaluate your existing convertible top motor pump and if its "core" is in good shape we can return it to "like new" condition. We service the whole motor section of the unit: recoiling, insulating and cleaning. We test the rewound unit to make sure it is in proper working order before returning to you. If you do want your motor rebuilt, simply click "Add to Cart" at the right. (You would pay for it just as though you were ordering a part.) We will then send you a prepaid UPS shipping label. Properly box it up (we recommend putting it in a plastic bag as they can leak) and drop it off at a UPS store or the UPS counter in any Staples store. If your motor cannot be repaired, you'll get a refund or you can put this purchase toward the price of a new motor. Padded Quarters = Foam padding sewn into the Top from inside on both sides of the rear window. Fabrics:
For Alfas prior to 1981 the original convertible top fabric was black or tan canvas cloth. The modern Haartz Stayfast canvas is the replacement most like the original.

After 1981 Alfa tops were made in both canvas and pinpoint vinyl. You may select either vinyl or canvas for your top for any year.

Rear Side (Quarter) Sections:
The rear quarter sections are made with installed padding. This builds out the top slightly at the rear sides.

Rear Windows:
Original Alfa tops had unzippered rear windows. Some reproductions are made with zippered rear windows to allow the top to be up while the window is down. We offer both the unzippered, as original, tops and the zip down window tops.

Bindings:
Seam bindings, as originally, are hand rolled vinyl.

Hold Down Cables:
A pair of cables, one on each side, is encased in the top during installation. The cables attach the top to the frame at the front and rear at each side. New cables are recommended with each top.

Installation:
This is not a difficult top for the owner to install. If you purchase one of our tops and want to install it yourself, please check off the free installation manual (listed with "Accessories.")
