Convertible Top Motor Pump Rebuild/Repair Service.    The repair service is usually completed 4 to 5 weeks after we receive your motor pump Details... We can evaluate your existing convertible top motor pump and if its "core" is in good shape we can return it to "like new" condition. We service the whole motor section of the unit: recoiling, insulating and cleaning. We test the rewound unit to make sure it is in proper working order before returning to you. If you do want your motor rebuilt, simply click "Add to Cart" at the right. (You would pay for it just as though you were ordering a part.) We will then send you a prepaid UPS shipping label. Properly box it up (we recommend putting it in a plastic bag as they can leak) and drop it off at a UPS store or the UPS counter in any Staples store. If your motor cannot be repaired, you'll get a refund or you can put this purchase toward the price of a new motor. original top frames had wood 'bows' attached. There is a front ('header') bow over the windshield and a rear top bow over the rear. Our replacement bows are made accurately and sturdily. The rear top bow is laminated with layers of wood bonded with modern marine glue. This is much superior to the old steam bending process. The result is a more stable and enduring unit. The front bow is carved on automatic duplicating machinery. It is carved from a 'blank' made of laminated poplar sections. This is a choice upholstery kiln dried hardwood. The required recesses are milled, drilled, counter bored, etc. any required tee nuts are supplied.
