The Mazda Miata 'Econo' Convertible Top:
Our factory has taken original Mazda Miata convertible top patterns and designed what we believe is an improved top: less costly, very easy to install and longer lasting. We have taken the dimensions of the original Mazda Miata convertible top rear window and reduced its area by barely two square inches. And we raised it by about an inch. Experimenting with these dimensions on our own Mazda Miata convertible prior to going into production, we determined that this top was less restrictive in raising and lowering, and more durable because the changes allowed us to eliminate the zipper in the top. This Miata top is easier to install, expecially if you have our Miata top installation manual. We wrote the manual for owner-installers and hundreds, mostly first time installers, have purchased and installed their own Mazda Miata 'Econo' convertible tops beautifully.

The Mazda Miata 'Econo' top has now been copied by other factories. Ours is the original and most widely sold 'Easy Install' Miata convertible top. We offer this Miata convertible top with a plastic rear window and also with a glass rear window.
